One of numerous waterways in the general area, the Saugeen River flows westerly through farmland and villages to Lake Huron, one of the upper Great Lakes. The towns and villages through which it flows serve as the service centres for the surrounding agricultural community. Here, Knox Church and its spire in the town of Durham overlook a wooden trellis footbridge as it spans the river under a blue sky with cirrus and cumulus clouds.
