Crinan Canal at Dunardry
Short but endlessly picturesque, the Crinan Canal joins Loch Fyne with the Sound of Jura. James Watt was engaged in its survey and the renouned stonemason, Telford contributed to its engineering . The lock keepers' houses nestle against the banks. The labourious work is now substantially mechanized.
